About These Giant Hoods
Made from abs plastic, stainless hardware and brass tread inserts, these hawk boxes ship direct to you from falconer and craftsman Brian Hershberger. Brian's work embodies the spirit of the quality equipment we stand behind here at Mountain State Falconry Supply. Brian is also a game hawker, so he's our kind of falconer. We've worked with him to bring you an affordable and lasting solution for transporting your birds. These boxes are the perfect balance of weight and durability and will hold up to years of use from the hardcore hawker.
To keep shipping costs low, the boxes ship direct from Brian's shop ready-to-assemble, and we assure you, assembly is simple and straightforward.
Each box features four 2.5" screw-in vents (six for the extra-large box) that house removable/washable foam filters, a pvc perch covered in easy-to-clean stiff plastic turf, two latches to secure the door (three for the extra-large box), a top handle and a doorknob.
Choose from black or white and customize your box with optional leash hole. Perch position and vent colors are also customizable. Currently we offer three sizes in this design: large for red-tails and similar size birds, medium for Cooper's hawk and similar size birds and extra-large for eagle and similar size birds. A kestrel giant hood with guillotine door is also available as well as a double box for Harris's hawks and similar size birds.
