A Clarke falconry lures are made using the finest leather and are handcrafted in their workshop in the UK. They use the highest quality threads and plastic bead stuffing. 

The lures have a swivel fixed onto them. Each lure has a slot in the wing shape and pre-punched holes so you can insert wings and use a cable tie or string to secure your wings to the lure.
 
We use the extra small lures for our kestrels. This size worked great for a sharpy, too. We use the large lure for our red-tails.
 
The lure comes ready to attach your preferred lure line or you can add our #48 nylon seine twine with zinc alloy ring for our favorite setup for field lures. We use this configuration in the field for micros and red-tails alike. Wrapping the line directly around the lure makes it easy to unwind and call your bird down in a hurry, which can be invaluable for the safety of kestrels. The ring is the perfect fingerhold for red-tails especially. If you've ever been flying a bird heavy or flying a passage bird you're still dialing in, you've probably almost if not had the lure pulled from your hand. It's much easier to hold onto a ring than line alone. If you're purchasing a lure for field use as opposed to lure flying, we highly recommend the line and ring option.
